Commission from ‘Culturporto’ to work alongside children from Vitória, a parish within the historic and run down central district of Porto. 27 boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 17 each exposed 5 or 6 rolls of film over a 10 day period.
In addition to the pictures made by the participants of their surroundings, a small archive of images was collected from many older and elderly people living in Vitória - pictures from their family albums and mostly of when they were children. These ‘old’ pictures were merged with the new ones to generate a dialogue between the present and the past as well as between the elderly and the young.
